| Abstract: This quantitative article presents a study conducted on 124 subjects suffering from high blood pressure. These subjects were divided into two groups: one receiving medical care only and the other receiving holistic care (medical and psychological). Quality of life, anxiety, depression, and psychological distress scales were administered to assess the participants. The results showed a difference between the two groups, indicating that patients with high blood pressure receiving holistic care, including medical and psychological components, exhibited a questionable state of anxiety and depression, along with a positive state of psychological well-being and a very low level of psychological distress compared to hypertensive patients receiving medical care alone. |
